Fitness Center Attendant

Associates cycle through a variety of zones throughout their assigned shift. 

Zones include: Reception/Equipment Desk, Recreation Gym, Fitness Center, Group Exercise (X) Room, Running Track, Competition Gym (as needed), and adjoining spaces.

Successful candidates must be:

·       Assertively friendly

·       Provide excellent customer service

·       Take pride in the quality of work

·       Demonstrate initiative

·       Complete CPR/AED and 1st Aid Certification within probationary period

Responsibilities include:

·       Provide a safe and clean environment for fitness and recreation center patrons

o  Enforce facility rules

o  Conduct safety and cleaning inspections

o  Clean equipment, gathering areas and tidy/organize equipment

o  Provide guidance on use of equipment

·       Assist patrons in accessing facility schedules and booking specific areas within the facility

·       Perform functions related to athletics, fitness & recreation activities including laundry, facility administration,

Workers may perform duties that require pushing, pulling or lifting heavy items (chair carts, bleachers, dumbbells, weight plates, volleyball net systems, etc.). 

Work includes exposure to cleaning agents.

Athletic Department offices are located on the third floor of Recreation and Student Center with stair and elevator access.
